Ikiwa imepita siku moja toka mbunge wa Geita Vijijini, Joseph Msukuma (CCM), kusema haoni sababu ya serikali kuzuia bangi kuwa zao la biashara kwa maana haoni madhara yake huku akidai kwamba viroba vina madhara zaidi kuliko bangi, Afande Sele amefunguka na kusema serikali ihalalishe matumizi ya bangi na si kukosoa juu ya hoja hiyo ya Joseph Msukuma.

Afande Sele amedai kuwa kuna nchi ambazo tayari wao wamehalalisha matumizi ya bangi na kuthibitisha kuwa pombe ina madhara makubwa zaidi kuliko bangi.

Bosco Kaweesi, the legal adviser of All African Students Union in Bengaluru, said that the Tanzanian girl and the Sudanese man, who was booked for the accident, were not known to each other. The Tanzanian student was travelling in another car – a Wagon-R – along with four friends and had arrived at the accident spot 30 minutes after the incident. The mob reportedly beat her, stripped her of all clothes and made her parade around naked in the presence of the police. The mob also set ablaze the Wagon-R, with all the students losing their valuable documents, including passports and ATM cards. A bystander, who tried to help the woman, was also attacked. "The scared students were forced out of the car and then the car was set ablaze. The driver of the second car identified as Micah S Pundugu was beaten up black and blue by the mob, who then stripped the girl student. When someone from the crowd offered her a T-Shirt to save her modesty, that man too was beaten up by the mob.
